A South-East Asian sterling silver tea and coffee service; apparently without maker's marks, mid 20th century; a tea pot, coffee pot, cream jug, two-handled sugar basin, and oval tray, the vessels each of late Georgian design, their bodies and covers and the border of the tray modelled in relief with various scenes of Asian villagers, elephants, and oxen engaged in various agricultural activities in landscapes, together with an associated tea strainer, two small dishes, and pair of sugar tongs, all similarly decorated, the underside of the tray engraved with a presentation inscription. The coffee pot 24 cm high. The tray 44 cm wide, 30.5 cm deep; 3,534g in total (including non-silver handles)
