Burmese ruby and diamond ring, centring a claw-set oval ruby weighing 1.94 carats, flanked by two similarly set brilliant-cut diamonds, the diamonds together weighing approximately 0.38 carats, mounted in 18ct gold, size R, gross weight approximately 4.2 grams. Accompanied by a facsimile AIG report numbered GEM2023022083001, dated 20 February 2023, stating that the ruby is natural, of Burma (Myanmar) origin with evidence of heat treatment. Condition: in our opinion the ruby is of slightly orangy pinkish red, moderate saturation, with typical inclusions. Some minor scratches to the facets and facet junctions. The diamonds are bright and lively, probably of G to H colour and VS clarity, as gauged and graded within the limitations of the cutting style and the mounting. The mounting displays very minor scratches commensurate with age and wear. The ring is of good workmanship with signs of wear consistent with age and use. Overall condition is very good.
