A sterling silver full-hunter pocket watch by William Ehrhardt, key-wound and hallmarked Birmingham 1903. Ehrhardt, one of the most prolific English watchmakers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, established his firm in Birmingham in 1856 with a goal to mechanise English watch production. By the turn of the century, the company was producing thousands of reliable lever watches annually from its Time Works factory in Birmingham, with a London office in Hatton Garden.
