XinYing Zhang, china, 1933- chicken and eggs, tempera paint on paper, signed lower left in Chinese characters, titled, chicken and eggs, on catalogue, verso, acquired by the current owner at a special Australian exhibition at David Jones in the 1980s, Ref: see a 1982 photo of the artist at work in Jinshan ( for reference only - not included with painting.), peasant painting in Jinshan, East china. Zhang Xinying, wife of Wu Tongzhang, is fond of Jinshan peasant painting..... She had been a worker in a factory in Shanghai and came to settle in Jinshan County after she retired three yours ago.
