An antique Louis XIV style bracket clock in the manner of Jerome Martinot, with bracket, the movement 18th century, the case possibly of the same period, verge movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell, the enamelled and brass Roman numeral dial in a glazed case of typical upright form inlaid with cut brass in the simulated tortoiseshell ground and with various gilt bronze mounts including a figure of a herald angel to the top and a mask to the base, the movement signed 'Jerome Martinot AParis', the bracket conforming, the clock 69 cm high, 31.5 cm wide, 15 cm deep, the bracket: 29.5 cm high, 34.5 cm wide, 18 cm deep
