A Chinese tea dust glazed vase, Qianlong mark, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the vase is in an archaistic form, it's covered with a tea-dust glaze, characterized by its rich, lustrous tone and smooth, fine surface. While predominantly greenish in hue, closer inspection reveals the interplay of yellow and green powder-like glazes. The subdued and elegant coloration conveys a sense of restraint and dignity, free from ostentation. It embodies a serene and understated sophistication, resonating with the simplicity and purity valued by literati and scholars. It's with a fitted hongmu stand, and a Japanese wood box. 30 cm high.
