A very rare Chinese Aubergine-Glazed Meiping, Qianlong incised six-character seal mark and possibly of the period (1736-1795), similar example see Christie's Hong Kong, 30/5/2024, lot 2707. 22.6 cm high. Provenance: The Quek Kiok Lee collection. Gora Singh Mann collection, Wollongong (label no. 1123), Mr Mann was a well-known local philanthropist, has been collecting Art for over fifty years and has amassed an impressive collection. With his business partner and friend, William Tatlow, they donated a significant portion of their collection of Asian ceramics and Art to the Wollongong Art gallery. Mr Mann has also generously donated Art from his collection to the Mudgee District Hospital, the Mid-Western Regional Council and many other local businesses. An important private collection, Sydney.
