A good late 18th century satinwood musical bracket clock playing a choice of six tunes, Grimalde, London, surmounted by a cupola housing a brass figure within Doric columns and a pierced fence, the arched top with urn finials over twin side handles and fish scale frets to a plinth base on claw and ball feet, the repainted signed arched dial with subsidiaries for chime/not chime and tune selection comprising three songs, a minuet, gavot and dance, with date hand, the substantial triple gut fusee movement with verge escapement playing on twelve hammers and bells and striking the hour on another, the back plate centred by an engraved bowl of fruit within foliate scrolls with pull repeat cords for time and music.
