An early 18th century ebonised long case clock, Joshua Wilson, London, numbered 217 the caddy top with ball and spire finials over three-quarter Doric columns to the front and matching quarter columns to the rear over a long door with lenticle and replaced base, the 12 inch square brass dial signed low on the chapter ring and unusually numbered on the lower edge, the Roman and Arabic chapter ring with half-quarter marks enclosing the matted centre with subsidiary seconds, ringed winding square and chamfered date aperture, the movement with five knopped and finned pillars, anchor escapement and inside count wheel strike on a bell, alterations and restorations.
