A Charles II carved walnut panelled box, the rectangular hinged top with ridge moulded edges enclosing a candle box, the front with a rectangular serpent and foliate carved panel with applied date '1668', flanked by moulded corner, with carved panels to either side, one sliding up to reveal two small secret drawers, with a moulded base, doweled construction, 47 cm wide, 26 cm deep, 28 cm high
