An antique black forest automaton novelty mantel clock, the movement by Gordian Hettich &, Sohn, Furtwangen, circa 1900, the eight day movement with spring drive, strike on bell and two hammers. The Roman numeral dial and movement set in walnut case in the form of a Gothic chapel on a stepped base, the left door opening with the movement to reveal a monk pulling a cord connected to the bell in the tower, the movement marked Ghs. 78 cm high, 43 cm wide, 26.5 cm deep
