A Royal Worcester Pilgrim vase, shape 163, circa 1865, the decoration attributed to Thomas Scott Callowhill, the waisted neck flanked by inverted dolphin loop handles above the flattened circular body on a rectangular foot, both sides of the body decorated with pink-bordered roundels decorated en brunaille, one side with a allegorical personification of a 'Sculpture' as a seated classical female nude, the other with a scene of a classical female sculptress at work attended by a winged putto, the body otherwise ivory with gilt details, 27.5 cm high, 19.5 cm wide. Other notes: the attribution to Callowhill was made by Henry Sandon circa 1990.. Condition: wear to gilding, crazing overall, wear to paintwork in places
