A Royal Worcester porcelain vase, dated 1868, decorated by Thomas Scott Callowhill and James Callowhill, of flattened bottle shape on a spreading elliptical foot, a pair of winged putti heads to the shoulders and a pair of small foliate loops at the base of the body, in a rich sea green ground with rim, masks, loops, and foot, the front decorated in enamels en rosaille with scrolling foliage centred on a classical mask, the reverse and the neck with conforming decoration at reduced scale, signed underside 'Jts Callowhill (the initials in compendium) together with the printed factory mark, 24.5 cm high. Condition: repaired chip to base with associated loss to porcelain and gilding. Minor crazing mainly to the white glazed areas, possibly lacking a cover
