A Royal Worcester porcelain ewer stand, 1860s, the decoration by Josiah Rushton, circular on a raised foot, the well recessed within moulded borders, the inner borders richly decorated in Renaissance revival manner with scrolling foliage and classical portrait medallions in coloured enamels on the gilt ground, the main border with three cartouches decorated with mythological figures and beasts, the outermost border and underside in blue with gilt details, signed underside 'J. Rushton Pinxt.' together with the impressed factory mark, 4.5 cm high, 30.5 cm diameter. Condition: some raised enamel beading lacking, slight wear to gilding, crazing overall to reverse
