A pair of Derby 'dry-edge' soft paste porcelain allegorical figures, depicting 'Autumn', from the series 'The four rustic Seasons', modelled as a young man wearing a frock coat and carrying a basket of grapes and other fruits over his shoulder, paused by a tree stump on naturalistic base, and a young woman holding a bunch of grapes in her left hand, and fruit in her apron, her long skirts pinned behind her, standing on a mounded base, circa 1750-55.
