An important, exceptional .21ct Argyle pink diamond. This round brilliant cut, .21ct, 6PR colour, (pink rose) VS2 clarity, measures 3.83 mm x 2.40 mm. Argyle Id #443947. Argyle paperwork supplied. Argyle pink diamonds are extremely rare, since 1983 the Argyle mine in Western Australia, produced more than 90% of the world?s supply of pink diamonds, this mine unearthed approximately 15 million carats of rough diamonds a year from which only 1% was pink. Now the mine is closed and there are no other sources in the world known to have a consistent production comparable to Argyle?s iconic colours, hence their rarity and value.
