1879 Carlton membership season ticket, covered in gilt tooled dark brown leather, overall 5.5 x 7.6 cm when opened out. Carlton were runners up to Geelong in 1879. They played 22 games for 16 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws. George Coulthard was named Champion of the Colony for the third time in four years. He was also the Champion Goal Kicker for the Colony.
