Wally Grout's Australian Baggy Green 1961 Test Cap, green wool with embroidered 'Australia' coat of arms with '1961' below, maker's label to interior 'Farmer's Sydney' with typed date '2/61', cap has obvious signs of wear, some thinning to wool at front, plastc cover to label torn, otherwise in very good condition; acompanied by a letter from Graham Ferrett stating that this cap is the 'original issue for the late Wally Grout for the Australian Test Tour of England in 1961' and that 'Wally Grout gave me this cap' The vendor's father, Graham Ferrett was a close friend of Grout's and was given the cap by him in 1962. Wally Grout (1927-1968), was Australian wicket keeper between 1957 and 1965. In 51 test matches he took 187 dismissals including 163 catches and 24
