Rare early double ended axe (Kodj), Swan River, Southwest Western Australia. Carved hardwood, stone and spinifex resin. This style of axe is unique to the southwest of Western Australia. Two pieces of stone are hafted onto a wooden handle and held in place by resin, length 36.5 x 9.5 cm. Provenance: catalogue number A. 1475. Private collection, New South Wales
