A needlework sampler from 1742 by Elizabeth Hill 'Aged 12 Years November the 7, 1742' being a finely embroidered section from chapter 20 of Exodus, being the ten Commandments. Nicely decorated with flowers and leaves, Elizabeth hill is believed to have been related to Sir Rowland hill, the inventor of the Penny-Post in England.
