A Royal Worcester hand painted and gilded vase, attributed to Robert Perling, circa 1871, of tapering form, the central reserve depicting the 1848 painting of 'Alexander & Diogenes' after Sir Edwin Landseer RA, attributed to Robert F Perling, set against a rich teal ground with gilded and beaded decoration, the whole flanked by two handles, each adorned with beaded garlands, all raised on a circular quadripartite foot, Royal Worcester factory mark to base, above the number 71 (crown faded from mark), 45.5 cm high, 16.5 cm wide
