A fine Napoleon III kingwood Vernis Martin bombe cabinet, third quarter 19th century, with a shaped maroon marble top above an extravagantly shaped case decorated with a finely painted romantic idyll, the cabinet interior lined with crushed red velvet, dressed throughout with well cast leafy ormolu borders and bold espagnolettes to the pronounced hipped edges, and sabots, with key, height 112 cm, width 80 cm, depth 43 cm
