Houlston, Birmingham, 1912, of typical elliptical form, the hinged cover enclosing two spring loaded holders (full sovereign and half sovereign), the reserve to the centre of the cover now plain (formerly with engraved initials, burnished off), the top and underside otherwise engraved with stylized foliate decoration, weight 23g, length 5 cm, width 3 cm
