Large narrow shield, Southeast Australia, carved and engraved hardwood and natural pigment (no custom stand) carved in hardwood of lozenge section, the front decorated with incised geometric traditional motifs infilled with traces of white pigment, the reverse undecorated with cut lug handle of oval section.
