A Chinese white jade carving of a lotus pod and bird, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 18th century, the jade of even, translucent white hue, a small area of russet skin showing on the stalk, very finely carved as a large lotus seed pod surrounded by a lotus leaf and blossom and a flying bird, 3.25 cm high, 4.5 cm wide.
