Memorial plaque to William McLennan: bronze plaque, 120 mm diameter in the composite cardboard box of issue. McLennan (from Mooroopna) enlisted on 9 November 1915; his rank on enlistment, being: private. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 15th Reinforcement embarking from Melbourne, on board Hmat A18 Wiltshire on 7 March 1916. Rank from Nominal roll, : Corporal. He was killed in action on the Western front on 25 July 1916. He was 39 years old. He is commemorated at the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France and at Mooroopna Cemetery, Victoria.
