Diamond brooch, 1890, designed as an axe, the blade pave-set with mixed old-cut diamonds of champagne tint and near colourless old-cut diamonds, the handle similarly set with near colourless old-cut diamonds, mounted in 15ct pink gold and blackened silver, the diamonds together weighing approximately 3.45 carats, approximately 60 x 18 mm, marked 'PM', French assay marks, stamped 1890.
