A rare sterling silver scenic vinaigrette, 1809 Birmingham, with maker's mark for Matthew Linwood, probably from Linwood's countryside series, lightly engraved to the lid featuring a seated man eating his lunch closely watched by his dog, with delicate prick worked bands and designs to the edges and underside, the interior with a formal filigree scrollwork grille, twice hallmarked, length 3 cm, width 2.5 cm
