A Japanese Four-Panel 'Black Ship' screen, late Edo (1603-1868) or Meiji period (1868-1912), 19th century, ink and pigments on a silver leaf ground, depicting a 17th century Dutch trading ship in Japanese waters, together with a fitted Japanese wooden box mounted to the top with a silver plaque reading '1960-1964: ten afscheid aangeboden aan Harer Majesteits Ambassadeur en Mevrouw de Voogd door de staf van de Ambassade te Tokio, het Consulaat - Generaal te Kobe, het Consulaat te Yokohama en het Consulaat te Seoul.
