A pair of Chinese huanghuali stools, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 18th century, the waisted rectangular stools with straight square section legs terminating in hoof feet, the legs joined on all sides with humpback stretchers. The grain highly figured to the top panels, including 'Ghost face' knots. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 51 cm high, 50 cm wide, 42 cm deep. The hoof feet with evidence of minor moisture damage from rising damp. Some minor lifting to the top panels. Evidence of old refinishing
