Description:
Two Chinese famille rose bowls, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, one decorated with butterflies, flowers and melons, the other with birds, peonies and melons, both with iron red Jiaqing marks. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, the larger bowl 8 cm high, 17.5 cm diameter. The larger bowl with wear to the gilding around the rim, multiple hairline cracks emanating from the rim, and chips to the rim including one large repaired chip. The other bowl with one hairline crack to the rim. Approximately 762 gm weight
