Description:
Four Chinese yellow-ground sgraffito famille rose dishes, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 19th century, decorated with flowers in famille rose enamels against a yellow sgraffito enamel ground, with Jiaqing marks in iron red to the base. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, each plate 4.5 cm high, 24 cm diameter. Significant wear to the gilding of the rims. Some minor stacking wear including associated enamel loss. One dish with a hairline crack emanating from the rim. Another dish with a restored section to the rim. Approximately 2076 gm total weight for four dishes.
