A rare Boucher & Co. 23rd Wallajahabad light Infantry plate, circa 1820, the plate decorated with the badge of the 23rd Wallajahbad light Infantry, surrounded by a green and gilt border. This regiment was originally raised in 1794 as part of the Madras army of the British East India Company. It bears their two main battle honours, Serangipatam (1799) and Nagpore (1817). The John scarce collection, 23 cm diameter. Approximately 436 gms weight.
