Toye Brothers, Portland, VIC. A group of four shipping scene images, each approx. 11 x 16 cm and all depicting scenes on the wharves at Portland in Western Australia, circa 1921. The first is titled in the negative: 'Shipping Wheat, deep water pier Portland Victoria', the next three are titled in white ink: 'The SS Australford - first ship to take cargo of wheat from Portland', 'The SS Australford, first ship to load wheat at Portland, Mch 1921' & 'Shipping Wheat on SS 'Cufic' at Portland Vic. The Toye Brothers had a studio on Bentinck Street, Portland, circa 1910 - 1940. All images are block mounted with 'Toye Bros., Photographers, Hamilton & Portand.' handstamps verso.
