Wolfgang Georg Sievers (1913 - 2007) Bruck Mills, Wangaratta (Victoria) c.1950s, vintage silver gelatin photograph, photographer's stamp and titled with publishing annotation in crayon verso 39 x 49.5 cm. Laid down on original board. Bruck Fabrics was established in the city of Wangaratta (North Eastern Victoria, Australia) in 1946. Bruck became a working destination, attracting employees from all over Australia and Europe following the Second World War. Many workers came from Bonegilla, which was a well-known migrant camp near Wodonga, Victoria. Between 1947 and 1971 over 300,000 migrants called Bonegilla their first 'Aussie home.'
