A pair of large Chinese cloisonne vases, Peoples' Republic of China period, circa 1970, the exceptionally large baluster form vases decorated in cloisonne enamels with scrolling Indian lotus within lappet borders, with a shaped reserve to each side depicting precious scholarly objects surrounded by phoenix in flight. Together with original carved wooden stands., including stand, 77 cm high, 33 cm diameter.
