Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, rare American beehive clock designed for the Roman Catholic market with 8 day movement which strikes only three times a day at prayer times of 6am, 12 noon and 6pm. This Company was only in business for a short period from 1874-1876. Original pictorial lithograph card with clock instruction on reverse contained in separate envelope with additional information, clock currently displaying a facsimile copy as to preserve the original. Restored mottled finish often referred to as tortoiseshell or walnut. 83 cm high
