A Royal Doulton, 'Chinese Jade' oval dish and 'Chinese Jade' dish, decorated with oval elephant head in relief. Designed by Charles Noke and Harry Nixon, factory marks: 'Doulton, England'. Painted 'Chinese Jade', 'Noke', and Harry Nixon's monogram, impressed date stamp 4.7.29. Together with a Royal Doulton 'Chinese Jade' dish, decorated in relief with four elephant heads. Factory stamp, painted 'Chinese Jade', 'Noke' and bearing Harry Nixon's monogram to base, impressed date stamp 1.5.31, height 4.5 cm. Provenance: Whitley Collection, Florida
