A Louis XVI ivory and 9ct gold mounted carnet de bal, 19th century, the ivory case banded in 9ct gold, the hinged lid applied with 'Souvenir' in gold above a cartouche with two putti within a ribbon adorned cartouche. The other side applied with 'Damitie' gold above a cartouche also banded in gold ribbon. The case enclosing three ivory writing cards and a pencil. Presented in a tan leather Hardy Bros case, the carnet de bal 3.8 cm long, 4.4 cm wide.
