A George III mahogany English bracket clock, J. Jackson, London and Bristol, circa 1790, the mahogany bell topped case with vasiform finial to centre of bell top, and four others located at top corners of the case, also decorated with female caryatids and trailing flower mounts to canted front corners, break arch side frets of gilt sunburst design. The case decorated with applied scroll leaf gilt decoration to a moulded base supported on gilt brass bracket feet. Break arch enamel dial signed J. Jackson- Bristol and London. Calendar aperture below centre arbour. The twin fusee, bell striking, eight-day spring driven movement with anchor escapement and maintaining power beating half seconds, 61 cm high, 38 cm wide, 22 cm deep
