A George III bracket clock, Henry Jeffereys, London, circa 1795, ebonised bell topped case with cast brass handle central to the bell top. Four cast brass urn finials to the top four corners of the case. Brass trimmed door, circular and rectangular glazed side panels to each side of case. Case standing on moulded base raised on cast brass bracket feet. The silvered brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, circular calendar aperture and blue steel hands. The dial signed Henry Jeffereys - London with windmill and dog automata in the arch. Eight day, twin fusee movement with verge escapement, hour striking on bell mounted over movement. Backplate well engraved with foliate scrolls and bird motif, 52 cm high, 28 cm wide, 19 cm deep
