Banking: The Bank of Australasia passbook for William Howe of Port Melbourne, 1898 - 1900. Vellum-covered with brass clasp, pages with marbled edges. Customer's name inscribed to front cover and title page, with dated transactions in ink throughout. 16.2 x 10.2 cm. William Howe was five times Mayor of Port Melbourne, having been first elected in 1900.
