Banking & Brewing: Bank of Tasmania passbook for Richard Thompson, 1872 - 1876. Vellum-covered with customer's name and address 'Charles Street' inscribed to front cover and title page, with dated transactions in ink throughout. 16.3 x 10.2 cm. Bookbinder's label 'A. Thomson, Charles Street' pasted to front inside endpaper. Richard Thompson may have been the publican of the Freemason's Hotel, at New Norfolk, a frequently encountered name in the passbook being 'Glenwright'. J.T.Glenwright was to form a partnership with James Boag in 1879
