(Van Diemen's Land) Oct.1844 & Jan.1853 vellum documents summarising 2 cases brought to the court, the first signed by Thomas Horne (Judge, Mp & Solicitor-General), the latter signed by Valentine Fleming (Judge, Chief Justice, Mp & Solicitor-General). Both cases involve larceny ('two shirts of the value of two shillings, one pair of stockings of the value of one shilling & sixpence & one waist-coat of the value of one shilling') the sentence in the latter case being 'hard labor in chains for two years', the earlier case was dismissed.
