A rare pair of Tibetan ear ornaments ('akor'), 19th century, finely matched silver mounted original high grade coral and turquoise, 15.1 cm long, such ear pendants are heavy and too bulky to be hung from the ears and were instead suspended from a woman's headdress, and were designed and made on commission for a wealthy Lhasa patron.
