A fine white marble and ormolu Empire portico clock, circa 1840, key and pendulum, of typical portico form surmounted by a fan arch with an articulated Napoleonic bee connected to the finely cast pendulum, the brushed steel dial with Roman numerals enclosed by an intricately cast bezel with masks and fantastic beasts, the base a mirror pair of griffins, height 56 cm, width 27 cm, depth 15.5 cm
