A French Louis XV style faux tortoiseshell mantle clock, later 19th century, with maker's mark for Samuel Marti, the waisted timber clock with a faux scarlet tortoiseshell veneer with pierced and cast rocaille mounts and trims, an enamel dial with Roman numerals and minute markings beneath a convex glass face, with key, pendulum and gong mechanism. Height 36.5 cm
