A large metal-mounted brown lacquer dish, 14th-16th century, of flat circular form with a narrow upturned metal-mounted rim, supported on a very shallow footrim, a two character red lacquer mark in a rectangular reserve under the base, 2.5 cm high, 18 cm diameter, original wooden box, *a certificate of dating from the Institute of Particle Physics, Zurich is available.
