Description:
A Chinese polychrome white marble Stele, Northern Qi (550-577), depicting a Bodhisattva standing in meditation on a lotus stem, leaning against a tree trunk with some original pigment to the robe and the hair, the deity with hands together in Anjali mudra against his chest, the head crowned with falling ribbons to either side of his tall chignon. He wears a shawl covering his shoulders.
