A Royal Doulton Dickens Ware jug signed H.Fenton and Noke, circa 1936, the body of cylindrical form decorated with a continuous relief moulded frieze depicting characters of Dickensian literature, each with their name impressed beneath, bearing the inscription 'Lord Keep My Memory green', flanked by a handle moulded in the form of a column capped by a scrolling manuscript, the spout modelled as a mask head, rising to a rim festooned with a foliate banding, dark green dedication, factory mark and impressed mark to the base, together with a certificate of authenticity indicating this piece is a limited edition 889 of 1000. Height 27 cm
